Now... it's Jasmine's 1st '07 blog

Heheh.. I'm such a lagger. Shen and Lyn have been pestering me to blog since long long long time ago. But I had to be lazy as hell to not blog since last year. So the new year 2007 is here (sounds so weird saying that since it's the end of January already..haha.) and many things happened (duhh~!). For the first time in my life, I've been back to both my hometowns, KL and Tawau within a month. Usually, if I'm going to KL I won't be going to Tawau and vice versa.

Well, my mom and I going to KL is kinda like "for fun", something like "play play" or "cincai" cause somewhere in November or December '06, my mom called me when I was in Melbourne and asked if I wanted to go KL cause she saw cheap AirAsia tickets on sale to KL from Brunei which cost about B$5 per person. But of course, it's not really that cheap because when u include the tax and all, it amounts to a total of about $189 for two people. Nevertheless, it's STILL quite cheap, don't u think so?? Yeah, so of course I couldn't turn down the offer, and my mom never expected me to as well..hahah, so we were off to KL on 2nd-11th jan '07.

When in KL, I didn't do much except SHOP! hahah, but I did went up to Genting Highlands for a night to stayover. Didnt' do much cause I went there at night with my mom and grandmother at like 8 pm at night. Hahah, crazy time to go up there, but the sole reason we're up there is for my mom to go to the casino. Then my grandmother and I walked around looking at "Closed" shops and drank some dessert stuff. There's really nothing to do at such a late time there. But I really wasn't disappointed or anything...hhehe, cause I've kinda tried most of the rides there and wasn't looking forward to the outdoor theme park too. To tell the truth I prefer the rides in Jerudong Park to the ones in Genting but too bad... Jerudong is very very much in low maintenance at the moment. Then went back down the next day without even doing anything except eating breakfast. haha, true holiday-makers would so be giving me the "what the heck did u travel all the way up there for?" look at me..heheh.

So, the rest of the days were spent shopping till I "almost" dropped..haha. Went to 1Utama and Sg. Wang twice, Sunway Pyramid, IOI Mall ( lousy!) and for the first time in so many years, Petaling Street, where I enjoyed using my bargaining skills. I also met up with some friends whom I was close with in Melbourne who are from KL and we went to the Redbox Karaoke at Sunway Pyramid. That's my second time in a real karaoke place and it's very fun. The songs are all very updated and the mic system rocks..hehe (sorry if I'm being such a sakai). First time happened in Melbourne but didn't really like that place cause the songs kinda quite old and not many Chinese new songs there.

Okay, I'll stop about KL and move on to Tawau. Reason to go back is cause I haven't seen my relatives, especially my grandmother in Tawau for almost two years since the Chinese New Year in 2005. It's funny that I did not pester my mom to come with me and actually made myself attempt to travel alone for the first time. Haha, not that I'm the only one who doubt my abilities, my aunties, uncles and grandmother in Tawau, my dad and my mom asked whether I "really know how" to travel or not. I have a feeling that they think I'll get lost or kidnapped or tricked by some conmen, or something. But in the end, I just said "OK, i'll go alone, Nvm i'm okay with it....blablabla."

The night before I left for Tawau, I heard news that a tsunami was gonna hit Tawau. That really shocked me la. Why when I wanna go to Tawau, then only the tsunami wanna come?? But since it's just gonna hit and not have already hit, I didn't really bother about that and just went on with the plan. 22-26th jan in Tawau. I had to fly from Brunei to KK for transit using MAS and KK to Tawau using AirAsia. In KK, I of course landed in KK International Airport cause i was flying in from Brunei. But the problem is I didn't even know that AirAsia have their own terminal at somewhere else just like the one in KL - LCCT terminal. Had to go by taxi all the way to the other terminal and the stupid airport taxis were charging RM 20 for a ride that would definitely cost less than RM 10 if I used ordinary taxis. CHEAT money ahh! The terminal is just less than 5 mins away.

In Tawau, I heard about the tsunami news. Apparently it was true and that night when the news came out, people started fledding their houses, taking important documents and some clothing, leaving everything behind and going to higher grounds. All my relatives there went to my house in Tawau cause it was situated quite high. Funny when my cousin told me my house was "fully booked" that night. Traffic jams everywhere and petrol stations filled with cars who want to go away from the town. I know it's like a matter of life and death, but I couldn't resist laughing man. Well, after all, it sounded like a false alarm cause there was no tsunami in the end. Even the people there find it funny that they actually ran for their lives. But when I got back to Brunei, my mom told me that it WAS gonna hit Tawau that night. But fortunately, it got blown away by some "kind-hearted" winds.

I spent time shopping (again!). Eventhough it's a small little place, I managed to buy clothes and shoes, including a pair of boots <3. Ate seafood (yummilicious!) and tried crocodile meat for the first time. Then went to karaoke(again again!) at some dodgy bar place where u have to share the whole karaoke place with everyone else. So like everyone hears u singing..haha..embarassing. U have to submit the songs u wanna sing and wait till it's ur turn and a basket of two mics will be passed to ur table. So weird.. There are other places with better karaoke facilities that could probably match up to the ones in KL, with individual rooms, but dunno why we just didn't go to those.

Okay.. I'm so tired of typing and I bet u're also tired of reading about my short holidays.hahaha... okay, now back to Brunei then. nooooooo..soo tired already!

Lyn and Shen, hahah I remember telling u guys I didn't know what to blog about. Turns out I was just lazy (I think?). Now I don't even have the time/energy to blog about what we did back in Brunei. booo.. but don't worry, I'll definitely blog about us and what we did recently. will do that very very soon. maybe with pics too? hahha

Love at 0° C

This is a post about my obsession about a certain TV show, please avoid reading it because it's all ranting ahahahah..

i'm so obsessed with this show that i actually googled it! (CLICK!!!!) i blame astro channel 38. argh. actually i wasn't even really watching this show until one day i was so free, i sat down while my mom was watching it. immediately got absorbed by the plot. aaahh the sweetness of love (episode 13 already wth!)

today, dum dum dumm.. final episode!! Shenny and I are both not crazy about it, but so AHHH!! about the characters. i mean, WAHH that girl Sun Yi Xin has 2 wonderful guys going after her mann!! and she's quite cute too. AND THE GUYS ARE CUTE ALSO! but that stupid girl Anna is so damn eeeeeeeeww. always hated her (the character, ALSO the character) even when she was in Meteor Garden II. she's such a terrible actress, maybe that's why she got the role of the evil woman in this show ahahahahha!! =p

and the two male actors, woah they used to be so.. well..not attractive, but in this show, they act as such nice guys that they are suddenly so interesting. HAHAHA.

anyways, periodical infatuation this is, but do allow me to blab on. SO. i shall tell you how the story goes.

Rui En plays YiXin, down to earth money-grabbing girl who aims to marry a rich man. HAHA. but it's so easy to find her adorable as you continue to watch the drama, because she's so nice, so helpful, so friendly and so conscientious unlike some evil character in the drama called Anna..okay i'll get to that later. So the whole story is centred around her...where she is adored by two goodlooking guys, both rich and sweet and nice. sigh. some people are so lucky. *whacks head* it's just a tv show, lyn!

Julian Hee plays GuoBin, Michelle Saram lousy actress plays evil character Anna. They are a couple but from the start you can tell how they SO DON'T MATCH. Anna is such a spoilt brat argh argh argh you have to watch it to know it!! hate her. while GuoBin is such a sweetheart, just because Anna went against her parents wishes to be with him, flying all the way to him from the US, he thinks he should take care of her forever. all together now, awwww! so many times when Anna threw a tantrum, he was so upset, and once she made him fold 1000 paper cranes, with the words, "I'm sorry, I love you." WAHH! my own boyfriend don't even know how to fold leh! (ahem.) so anyways, Anna dumps GuoBin for some random guy, GuoBin is SO upset, YiXin tries to cheer him up but broke his piggy bank of funds for buying Anna an engagement ring, GuoBin gets mad, Anna gets dumped by random guy, Anna wants GuoBin back but GuoBin is already in love with YiXin. NEYEHEHE.

Elvin Ng (totally cute! shenny said so!) plays WeiXiang, a rich boy and total sweetheart who's in love with YiXin and has secretly done many things for her. bought over the shop that GuoBin gave to Anna because she messed it up and was selling it but YiXin was upset because GuoBin was upset so he just had to buy the shop for them. THE THINGS PEOPLE DO FOR LOVE! and he's also a super gentleman i tell you! especially when he bakes YiXin a birthday cake, albeit not a delicious one, he was SO SWEET. and after he had sent her home, she met the sickly-and-was-hospitalised-but-ran-out-to-get-a-cake-for-his-girlfriend GuoBin, and they celebrated at the park but here comes WeiXiang dumdumdum! because YiXin had left his birthday gift for her in his car. he watched from a distance the happy looking couple, with a sad sad look in his eye. HOW TYPICAL IS THAT? but so heartbreaking also, when he saw GuoBin smooching YiXin on the cheeks. SIGH. the drama.

so anyway the stupid Anna is unwilling to let go and keep coming up with tricks to break up YiXin and GuoBin and eventually she got run down by a car trying to save GuoBin so YiXin felt that Anna needed him more than she did and broke up with him (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

and then in the final episode, GuoBin and Anna were already at the airport, heading back to the US, but Anna found her conscious to tell GuoBin that she had actually recovered, admitted that she feigned blind for a while so that GuoBin will be with her. She admitted! i think that's the only scene where she isn't hate-able. HAHA. and coincidentally at that same time, WeiXiang was also leaving, because she knows that the only people YiXin love was GuoBin......

SO........ in the final scene...... YiXin rushes to the airport where both GuoBin and WeiXiang are. And then.........

AIYAH why the last scene so typical, always airports one. quite lame. hm. but yeah. what happened in the ending? AHHAHA watch it yourself! :P

and my stupid sister had just told me "OH you like that show? i got the dvd!"

well. good! if she told me earlier i would have devoured all 20 episodes of it in one day instead of catching it every weekday on tv. hehehe. BUT now, i can watch it all over again! and listen to the so so so so sweet soundtracks. HEHEHEHEEE.

shenny's 07 1st blog

Waaaaa, 2007 ledy and Im not 13 anymore, but an 18yr old ‘teenager’. sheesh, Im so old ledy.. and I better be using That word more often from today onwards. Haha. Im turning 19 soon and after 19, my age wont have any ‘teen’ behind the word anymore. Sigh`

Was feeling nostalgic or is it nostalgia, few days ago when I came across these boxes of letters in my room. I coulnt resist the temptation of reading them and so I spent almost an hour reading a few of them. At that very moment, I came to realize that many things have happened in my 18yrs; the ups and downs and I am glad to know that some friends have always been there for me, well I dont need to mention their name as I know they all know who they are. So here, I really really thank you all so much. Haha, 18 years man~ lol

Wells, this year is going to be the year;to perform well, both in academics and sports. Hehe. Sigh` it is only the beginning of the year yet I already feel the pressure, the busy-ness and all, haha. I hope I can cope well in both. ‘Yes shenny, u have to prove it to spongebob!’ lols.

Anyways, Lyn asked to blog about what we did yesterday, Monday, and why I was happy the whole day. Haha, now why was I happy ey, Lols.. I remembered a few days ago, Guiping told me that there will be 'these 3 days' in this month when I will have 'tao hua yun' [haha, dont know how to translate to english..] I didnt really care or trust what she said la, cuz it's always not true one but haha,that day, ‘someone’ talked to me. Lols, though it was just a normal conversation but haha, *smiles*. So yeahs, that was one thing that makes me happy that day.

After school, Lyn, Jenny and I went to Jasmine’s place. We talked and sang for a while and Jasmine learnt some driving skills around her house, from.. *ahem* the 3 of us who already have a legal driving license. Hahahaha.. Jasmine almost bang the wall twice when she do the reverse parking, and finally we all agreed that in the future we all will make sure she has already pass her driving test then only we will sit in her car =p [jus joking.. haha, but Jenny and I were really.... haha.. ^^]
So that was another thing I was happy about that day; meeting Jasmine, and meeting Lyn and Jenny, without their tudong. lol.

Now the last thing that made me still happy was, knowing how to play the game, Rummy? Is that the name? lols, poker tiles. Now, I really cant wait for Chinese new year to play that game. Hehe, so yeahs.. thanks lyn and jas for teaching Jen and I how to play. I had a great time 'gek-ing' u when I draw out 'the tile' you could have drawn out after me, oh wells if you understand what Im saying now.

So so, I finally blogged. hehe, a bit crappy but yeahs.. this is the most I can blog when I will have my physics test in less than 12 hours time from now. Goodlucks to me and the rest who are going to take this test too.

it’s 2007, and I’m in upper six now. next year it’ll be university already. well guess what, i’m not a very rich person and i don’t think I’ll be able to score any scholarship or tuition waiver or whatever. hence, this year, I must devise ways to maximize my income. Wait. I never had any income before. Okay, rephrase.

I MUST GENERATE INCOME
AND MINIMIZE EXPENSE.

I look around my room and it’s full of all sorts of rubbish that I’ll probably never need in my life. And then it occurred to me.

ou didn’t read wrong, it’s the UNO cards! You know how when you buy a complete stack, it’s all good and then one day, you lose one or two cards…but it’s still okay because they have a template card ready for you for each color in case you lose one of the cards. Or two. Or three.

BUT, what happens when you lose the WILD and DRAW FOUR cards and the whole stupid stack of more than 100 pieces of cards becomes completely useless??

Once upon a time when in holiday in KL, a friend of mine requested me to help him get some Tamiya model cars, so he can assemble them (all the hard work and effort) and give it to the girl he was so head over heels for. WELL GUESS WHAT. When I got back with the cars he didn’t want them anymore because he was jilted. SO now I am stuck with 2 boxes of replica cars which I have absolutely NO USE for and they had cost me a hefty RM180 to purchase. WHATHELL. Never trust a man in love obsession. Unless you’re the one he’s obsessed with.

Because of that, now I offer you

SKYLINE GT-R (blue) and VW NEW BEETLE (red)


Still new, had not opened it..well a bit lah, just to check it out BUT I did not remove anything at all!! Still got the receipt! See the VW box, the price tag still attached! AHHAHA.

Bought them for RM90 each.
Since it’s been with me for quite a while, subtract some depreciation of RM20.
But I’ve taken good care of them and never kacaued them so add RM15.

You should really buy one of these you know, it’s like a hobby or something, and when you finish assembling them, VOILA, all your hard work materializes into a pretty shiny brand new car! You should get it even more if you love GT-Rs and Beetles! =D
