Life just isn't..

Wooo.. feels like my first time blogging. So today ish the last day of holiday already and stil I have tonnes of homeworks and assignment undone~ U all must be wondering what have I been up to ey during hols; LoL` I'v been.. studying la,wut else!? Haha, wells, I hanged out too la.. But my homeworks and assignments are really hard eyy, that's why I couldnt finish it. Sigh` ESP english eyy. We have to find articles about Music and summarised it and also write a commentary? HMm, I have no idea how to start. Hmm, adrena ish helping me to find something about either Alicia Keys or Fish Leong.

Ohwells, today.. ish my lunar bday. Muahahaha and it's also simmie's bday! Happy Happy Birthday Simmie!! aLL de best to Him eyy in Aussie! =)

I was woken up by my mum at 11+ saying happy bday to me,Hehehe and she asked me if I wanted to go for breakfast. Of course I want La and we went to eat dimsum. Yummy yumm yumm~ But my mom nearly had second thought bringing me to eat ey cuz I sneezed continuosly on de way there. Hfmd ey.. CHOI~ =P im okay ledy now. HAHA..

So, kindergartens and primaries' holidays are extended eyy. Unfair~ my small sis was not too happy about this news. She was all ready for her postponed exam ledy but now that the holidays are extended, she's afraid when the school reopens she cant cope with her studies~ Hahaha. I was shocked ey to know that my sis think this way. Haha.

Hmm, my brother brought home some 'chicken soup for the teenage soul' books so I read and come across this article about life. I find it very meaningful..I'l share it with u all here..

'Life isn't about keeping score. It's not about how many people call you and it's not about who you've dated, are dating or haven't dated at all. It isn't about who you've kissed, what sport you play, or which guy or girl likes you. It's not about your shoes or your hair or the colour of your skin or where you live or go to school. In fact, it's not about grades, money, clothes, or colleges that accept you or not. Life isn't about if you have lots of friends, or if you are alone, and it'snot about how accepted or unaccepted you are.Life just isn't about that.

But life is about who you love and who you hurt. It's about how you feel about yourself. It's about trust, happiness and compassion. It's about sticking up for your friends and replacing inner hate with love. Life is about avoiding jealousy, overcoming ignorance and building confidence. It's about what you say and what you mean. It's about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. Most of all, it is about choosing to use your life to touch someone else's in a way that could never have been achieved otherwise. These choices are what life's about.'

So meaningful eyy?! Wells after reading this, I suddenly realised I have so much thing to do still in my life, and to think that I have ever thought of..something negative.. Hmm.. past already. Hahaha.. bLehs! =P

Tomorrow back to school lo and that means, Tudong back in action.. Hais~

Life so far

*This was written on 27th Feb.. wind ur mind back to that day

Helloooo everyone!!

I know it's been damn long I haven't blogged. Even this whole blog was written many many days before I could post it up today. Reason : Didn't get Internet because there were thoughts of me and my housemate,Siew Chien moving to another place.

This place is okay except that it's not that good for Siew Chien, her room is upstairs, without a door and window, and the whole house only has a fan, so u can imagine it's pretty hot up there. Moreover, it's quite far from our school. so we were waiting for any empty units in the apartment. Apparently, after waiting for abt two weeks, there's still nowhere we could move. so, settled down and then apply for Internet and taa-dah! got it.

Not actually applied...I bought a prepaid card which is unlimited and last for 45 days for $25. I didn't know u could use prepaid card here cause they provide their own Internet service from i-dunno-where when u apply from them...which is expensive and limited.

Life here is not much different or special. Just that now I have to walk every day.*Poor feet* Quite weird at first..but kinda got used to it. Everywhere u go, u have to walk walk walk. School's okay..everyday at least 1 person says 'hi! my name is ****. u? where u from? i'm from ****' By far only 3 people are from Brunei - me, Siew Chien and Sara. Everyone else is always from Malaysia or Singapore or Indonesia, China or Hong Kong. haha what to do..the school only accepts international students.

However, there are also people from other countries lar..hehe, not many only. Views here in Melbourne are nice, esp the buildings.. food ok ok but damn expensive..everything u eat is about $10. Rarely got $2 to $5 food like in Brunei.sigh. Oh, one more thing..I noticed that the babies and dogs here are sooo cute. Dog-owners always bring their cute cute dogs for walks. Weather - unpredictable. People here always say that u can have all sorts of weather in a day. It can be sunny, cold then rainy in any order. Very true indeed!

Remember I told some of you that I'll be camping? I just got back yesterday from a 3 days 2 night camp. That was the ONLY fun event that happened so far.But only bad thing is the food. Not that nice but the activities are very nice. We sleep in cabins/lodges on beds..hahaha, so lucky. I thought we were gonna sleep in tents. Each room has six beds, a toilet, a shower and two sinks..not bad actually.

First day, we went to the zoo. Finally got to see kangaroos and koala bears. At night, we went bushwalking through the forest in the dark with torchlights, desperately trying to look for animals..some saw kangaroos but I didn't. I didn't even have a torchlight - was walking blindly.. with occasional light flashes from those who had torchlights.

After that..everyone hung out at the dining hall, playing board games, or playing cards. Some were outside chatting on the benches. And if any of you think u're nocturnal..don't worry..I think most teenagers are too! A lot of people weren't sleeping after 12..the teachers had to make everyone go to bed. I just managed to doze off at 2 am.

Next day, we went to do Ropes. Don't really know how to explain but overall, it has to do with heights and walking on ropes. It was the best of all activities.. challenging and exciting. After that we went to an aborigine exhibition place..watched a video on aborigines and then painted our own boomerangs. Stupid thing is we can't throw them due to bad weather.

Later in the afternoon..even when it was raining...we went cycling in the same place where we bushwalked..in the forest. It's actually a national park..but it's more forest-like. One special thing: kangaroos are everywhere!! in the woods, near our cabins, around people's houses, hopping across the roads, etc. pretty astonishing.

At night..There was a slideshow of pics taken during the activities.Everyone did not sleep at all until the wee hours of the night. Alot were admiring stars and not sleeping cause it's the last night in camp. The teachers didn't even drive us to sleep. Some slept on blankets outside on the carpark after admiring stars. The weather was sooo damn cold..we took blankets, wrapped ourselves and walked around like stupid-looking ppl..haha. Even after a hot milo, i couldn't stand it and went to sleep at 3+ am.

Next morning, we went abseiling, which is sort of walking down a cliff. Less exciting than the ropes but still it's cool..hehe. I realised I've blogged so much about the camp. bleh :P just had to. then it's go home time. Another 4-hour bus ride back to Melbourne City. My blog is so descriptive. Even I have to say that.

PS: I told my parents about my tired walking to school and they agreed to let me buy the monthly tram ticket..hehehe. Now I can go anywhere, even to the city without having to walk too long.

squeeze some juices out of this expired brain

ahhh.... the inevitable question.
"how's it like being a new lower6 student in MD?" "how's MD like?"
of course, you can never expect same answers coz after all, everyone has different opinions.
so all ye shall listen to MY version! mwahaha!

i did not prepare any new stationery. i dont even have new shoes. hahahaha. all i have new are my uniform and tudong ;) and since we get a new bag in our $117 orientation pack *scoff!* i am going to USE IT! i paid 15freakindollars for an MD school bag, why shouldn't i use it? at least for a few months. im using my old pencil case and folders and had just bought a new pair of shoes just a few hours ago and.. OH CRAP IM GOING OFF TOPIC!! back to about md.....

when i first stepped out of my car, onto md compounds, a girl asked if i was new and walked with me. she blahblahblah-ed in malay for 5 mins and when she asked me a question and i replied her, she said "ohmygod, im sorry i didn't know you were chinese." hehe. she's cute.

first, there has to be the orientation. of course we have to listen to the teachers talk about the school, of course we do, we dont know one speck about MD! but if i hadn't had a full 12hour sleep the night before the first day of orientation, i was surely to have fallen asleep. and also if it weren't that hot in the auditorium. terrible, 891 lower6 students (highest record in MD) packed in it, plus prefects, MPs, staff and all. ohmygod. HOT!

2nd day of orientation, i really fell asleep throughout most of the speech. had to go to the loo to freshen up. did NOT bring my folder with me. back to seat, seatmate Lily told me "the prefect took your folder away!!" by now, we should all already know that abangsayang and kakaksayang all do that, then make you go up the stage to get ur folder by the end of the day.

so break time at 10 came and i went to the foyer, feeling a bit irate. Michelle congratulated me. HEH. my usually-not-so-observant-eyes noticed a stack of stuff in the drawers of the tables outside. HAHAHA!!! guess what i found ;) i am one lucky ass.

and fortunately for gloriana too that she's a friend of mine (heh-heh!), when joanne told me hers was taken too, i snuck back there to grab hers. you love me dontcha glo? nyarhar. i got the phone number of one of the seniors in my folder. "call me when you're free". should i?

speeches thereafter i slept some more, overhearing the prefect behind me say "kasian jua ahh durang yang inda paham melayu. inda ketawa wahh.." referring to the apparently comedic teacher giving a motivational talk. ZzZzZzzz

3rd day - LESSONS!! =D
you canNOT possibly know how excited i was about starting lessons, i couldn't wait to start utilising my brains!! i even went and bought a purple butterfly brooch to match the skirt hahaha! the night before, i slept at 3am... nonetheless, i still woke up with high spirits!! =D

first lesson was physics!! im in the same class as hafiylah! woohoo, now i got someone to call in case i didnt catch the homework questions. my phys teacher is just a temporary one till april, coz the actual teacher's on a course somewhere till then. but mr.kho, he's cool. gave us homework.

next was chemistry. OHMIGOD my teacher gave us a TEST! @#$%^&*to be done in 15minutes!! whereas alison, same test, different teacher, gets to bring the test home even! ohmygod how unfair.

anyways, about the teacher, when i asked him if he was married he said his fiancee had passed away. oops. IS HE SERIOUS?? he told us to call him "sir" i told him i'll call him "a-yap" (after jasmine). he's cool. there was a guy sittin in front of me, chatting with me for the whole period and by the end of the lesson, he saw my name tag, and realised i was chinese. -_-"

after that, was biology with Ms. LimHuiHui who insists us calling her HuiHui. interesting. she reminds me of a younger version of t.veronica. I DONT KNOW WHY! she hates heat (just like me! i think we'll be getting along just fine..) , told us we're coincidentally a batch of distinction students (whoa...) and the first thing she told us was "and no, im not married." ? she's cool.

english language & literature!! had so much hassle looking for the class. went to the english block, FINALLY the list was published on the notice board. ICT1. rushrushrush, that's a whole 3 blocks away!!! elisa, shenny and jenny were laughing when they saw me huffing and puffing my way towards the library. reached the room, within the library. hey, im actually the 2nd to reach! and i was already 30 minutes late. HAHA!

ck.mashayu then asked me to go check if the students were misdirected to room008 and so i did, sending students her way.. i saw a group of boys looking lost outside the library and when they saw me, they approached me. i asked "can i help you?" and one of them responded in malay asking if i could tell him where's the ELL class. so i replied in malay laahh~ 10 mins later back in class, after we do our self-intro, i heard him, sitting behind me, telling his friend he thought i was malay. HAHAHA.

ck.mashayu told us that ELL's been getting 100% passes since it was first introduced, except one failed last year. she was away on a course for the whole of 2005. "now, could that be related?" she says. HAHAHA. she's cool. I AM GETTING ALL THE COOL TEACHERS!!! (or maybe it's just that it's the first day). looking forward to maths on monday.

after lunch was closing ceremony of the orientation. i slept for the first hour ZzZzzzz. i was shook awake by the choir singing the national anthem heheh.. next came Khairul's mini-skit hehehe he was funny. and then also, a malay skit presented by the arts club i think. honestly i did not understand it, except for barney's "i love you..you love me..we are happy family.." HAHA! after that a few more songs from the choir (the soloist was AWESOME!) then performance from the gulintangan club which was interesting too.

FINALLY, TIME TO GO HOME!! MWAHAHAH!!!

that's the end of the orientation week, from my side of the story. i had fun.
oh, and remind me to cut my nails and wear white socks.

In a Library

Hi everyone!

u guys didn't really blog erh. And yea i still haven't got internet in my room. But u know what? There's free internet everywhere and I just got to find out about it only yesterday. Stupid me! Actually at my apartment..somewhere there's two computers with internet..but have to pay. So don't wanna bother about it lar.

Then yesterday I went with some friends to this electrical store with computer stuff also.. and got quite surprised. There's a computer with free Internet that says "Try FREE INTERNET" something something 'bigpond' (the internet provider i guess). haha so i went to see see friendster for a while..don't wanna use too long..malu.

Then got a phone which also ask us to try and call with it. hahaha so funny. I tried calling overseas but then *SUCKS* cannot one. only local calls. Then can try to play with the XBOX 360 and try the PSP. haha so damn weird. what if we damage it? Anyway..then after that went to the State Library.. and there's internet also...about 100-150 or so computers with Internet. So I just used lar..but didn't blog..hehe. Just surf around.

Then today came to this Union House ( where students hang out..with fast food restaurants and some shops) where there's a library upstairs..where u can borrow dvds, cds, books, watch movie here, and most importantly... USE fREE internet..hahhaha. so obsessed with free internet man.

Actually i used my notebook to blog already. So the next time i use free internet i'm gonna post it. I blogged about life here, studies and the camp.. so that's coming up. How are u guys doing in MD? fun?? I wonder how's it like erh. Hope they're not too racist as what previous students have said. LYn/Shen...send me pics of u in tudongs yea. My real timetable's coming out later and I am gonna hate it..blehh.. bah..keep in touch!
